About the role
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON - LPN) supports nursing leadership to deliver high-quality, compliant resident care in skilled nursing or assisted living settings.
Responsibilities
- Train, supervise, and develop nursing staff
- Assist with program administration to uphold care standards
- Provide clinical guidance to team members
- Collaborate with medical staff and administrators on nursing services
- Support resident assessments, care planning, and documentation
- Ensure medication management adherence
- Participate in quality assurance and survey readiness activities
- Promote a safe, respectful environment aligned with the organization’s values
Requirements
- Current LPN license and registration
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Knowledge of nursing procedures, medications, and long-term care principles
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Passion for senior care and resident advocacy
Physical demands
Involves assisting with resident transfers and mobility.
