About the role
The Plaza Assisted Living is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with a starting salary of $70,000 per year, with potential negotiation based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Sound operations of the nursing department and the care staff
- Ensuring the highest level of quality care and regulatory compliance
- Adequate staffing and training of new resident care staff
- Conducting regular on-going staff meetings and in-services
- Assisting with the Resident Service Plan and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Facilitating communication within the department and with other departments and Administration
- Assuring prompt, appropriate action in cases of injury, illness, fire or other emergencies
- Conducting initial resident assessments and participating in resident service plan/care conferences
- Ensuring care department compliance with state and federal laws and community policies and procedures

Qualifications
- State of Hawaii Licensed Nurse (RN, LPN/LVN)
Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in rehabilitation care
