Assistant Director of Nursing

About the role
Odin Health & Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This role is an essential part of our nursing leadership structure and supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations while ensuring residents receive exceptional, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Nursing with daily nursing department operations
- Ensure high-quality resident care while maintaining dignity and respect
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain standards of care
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and nursing documentation
- Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, and families
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
- Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring nursing staff
- Support implementation of policies, procedures, and quality initiatives
- Conduct daily rounds to monitor workflow, resident care, and staff performance
- Assist with quality assurance, care planning, and risk management programs
- Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership
Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Reliable and team-oriented professional
- Passion for providing compassionate, hometown-level care
- Committed to teamwork, mentorship, and continuous improvement
