About the role

The Assistant Director of the Nursing Program assists the Director in the leadership and management of the Nursing Program. Primary responsibilities include nursing admissions processes, clinical compliance, and the Nursing Skills and Simulation Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage nursing admissions processes
• Oversee clinical compliance for the Nursing Program
• Manage the Nursing Skills and Simulation Suite
• Assist in the development of accreditation documents, particularly for nursing specialized accreditation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred
• Current registration as a Professional Nurse in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
• At least 3 years' experience in nursing practice
• At least 3 years' professional experience in one or more of the following areas: training, staff development, simulation lab, nursing education, or supervisory experience
• Experience with contemporary educational practices and standards, including alternative delivery systems, instructional techniques, and distance learning modalities
• Commitment to incorporating information literacy, technology, writing, and diversity in the curriculum

• Understanding of and commitment to comprehensive community college philosophy
