Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the nursing department.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to support and enhance the facility's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Help prepare for state surveys and regulatory inspections while maintaining ongoing survey readiness.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff to promote clinical excellence and professional growth.
- Assist with staffing oversight, scheduling support, and nursing department operations as needed.
- Monitor clinical documentation, resident care plans, and nursing practices to ensure quality outcomes.
- Support resident admissions, discharges, and care coordination.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on resident-centered care and employee engagement.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting required.
- Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for mentoring staff and delivering exceptional resident care.
