Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff, including performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary action.
- Evaluate patient care quality and implement improvement initiatives, collaborating with Nurse Managers and Director of Nursing (DON).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in policy and procedure development and hospital-wide employee orientations.
- Provide professional nursing care as needed to respond to workload demands or staffing shortages.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Three (3) years’ experience in psychiatric inpatient setting with an additional two (2) years of supervisory experience. Two (2) years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working exclusively with individuals diagnosed with mental illness or multiple disabilities.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment. Regulatory agency knowledge including The Joint Commission, DHSS, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services is preferred.
