Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Milford Meadows is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and team-oriented individual to join our leadership team. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing to support the nursing department, mentor staff, and ensure residents receive high-quality care in a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate should have experience in mental health or behavioral health, but a passion for caring for others and supporting staff is most important. Responsibilities include assisting with daily operations, overseeing infection prevention, risk management, staff education, regulatory compliance, and supporting the nursing team in meeting resident needs.

Qualifications

• Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license
• Experience: 3 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred, with previous supervisory or management experience preferred
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications required, and certification in Gerontology or related fields preferred
• Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; in-depth knowledge of nursing care standards and regulatory requirements; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
