Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing will support and manage Nursing Services, ensuring compliance with medical orders and regulatory standards. They will supervise the Nursing Department, conduct the nursing process, and participate in decision-making processes.

Principal Responsibilities

• Coordinates plans for resident care that align with physician orders and facility policies.
• Communicates and interprets policies to nursing staff and monitors their implementation.
• Participates in admissions decisions and visits prospective residents as needed.
• Attends daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status and concerns.
• Ensures the provision of compassionate, quality care through adequate services and staff coverage.
• Monitors for and prevents issues such as odors, cleanliness, pressure wounds, and resident function maintenance.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as RN/LPN in the state practiced.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school required.
• Five years of experience in long-term or acute health care preferred.
• At least two years of nursing supervisory experience required.
