Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) with the daily management of the Nursing Department.
- Oversee 24-hour clinical operations within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.
- Mentor and support RNs, LPNs, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and company regulations.
- Coordinate resident care plans in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
- Evaluate prospective residents as needed.
- Monitor clinical quality measures, infection prevention, wound prevention, documentation, and resident outcomes.
- Aid with staffing, scheduling, employee coaching, performance management, and staff development.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Attend daily clinical meetings and leadership meetings.
- Serve as acting Director of Nursing during the DON's absence.
- Promote a positive, resident-centered culture focused on quality care and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Current Missouri RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
- Five years of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or acute care preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, CMS regulations, and state survey processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Passion for providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
