Assistant Director of Engineering
Overview
Aid the Director of Engineering Services in maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, logging work performed, assigning projects, and managing inventory.
Support the Director of Engineering Services in procuring supplies and issuing purchase orders.
Review and prioritize work orders, and coordinate with the Engineering staff as needed.
Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power, and repair and maintenance supplies.
Respond to guest requests and assist the Engineering staff on a shift basis.
Assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering Services.
Understand and adhere to Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.
Be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.
Responsibility
- Extensive HVAC and mechanical experience required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills essential.
- Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Three to five years of hotel engineering experience preferred.
- Previous experience at a convention service hotel preferred.
- Experience managing a crew of five or more required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.
Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.
Skills
