Job Summary
Performs a variety of business operation and accounting duties ranging from clerical accounting to more complex duties such as reconciling departmental Travel Card purchases, reviewing and processing departmental travel expense reports, and educating coaches and Athletics staff on procurement policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Reviews Departmental Travel expense reports ensuring proper University and Departmental Travel policies are being maintained and followed.
- Creates Purchase Orders for procurement of goods and services for the Athletics Department.
- Creates departmental deposits for all Tennis Center related income.
- Processes departmental invoices for payment by working directly with the University of Utah Purchasing Office.
- Reviews and processes departmental invoices for payment by working directly with the University of Utah Purchasing Office.
- Reviews and reconciles departmental Travel Card charges and serves as payment contact for local hotels.
- Serves as a Business Office liaison to the University Travel Department.
- Serves as the Business Office liaison to the following sports: Football, Women's Basketball, Men's Golf, Women's Gymnastics, Women's Softball, Men and Women's Swimming/Diving, Men and Women's Tennis, and Spirit Squad.
- Processes Employee and Student-Athlete reimbursements based on departmental reimbursement policies.
- Affords to assist in educating coaches and Athletics staff on policies and procedures surrounding the University's procure-to-pay processes.
- Affords to assist the Director of Business Operations with various procurement, budget, and month-end closing procedures.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned and has the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities within the business office.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
- Two years of related experience.
- The ability to understand, interpret, and apply University and departmental regulations.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and completing multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
- Human relations and effective communication skills are required.
- Experience using programs such as Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
Preferences
- Advanced skills in using all Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel.
- Experience in using SAP Concur Travel Expense platform.
