Assistant Director Nursing - RN
About the Role
The Assistant Director of Nursing Services assumes delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of resident care according to professional standards of nursing practice. In coordination with the Director of Nursing Services, the ADNS develops, communicates, and maintains nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and company and facility philosophy of care consistent with Federal and State laws and corporate policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to inspire and motivate clinical staff and foster a positive work environment.
- Maintain a solid foundation of nursing knowledge and skills while ensuring compliance with company, Federal, and State standards.
- Coach and mentor clinical staff for professional development.
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and residents’ families.
- Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Indiana RN license or ability to obtain an Indiana license.
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
