About the role
The Assistant Director of Athletics Ticket Sales generates ticket sales for Tulane Athletics events. This position reports to the Director of Ticket Sales.
Responsibilities
- Ticket Sales (55%)
- Sell Football, Men's and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, and Volleyball Season Tickets, Partial Plans, Group Tickets, and other ticket products.
- Generate sales through phone contact, email, appointments, and new sales leads.
- Build relationships to provide repeat business and excellent customer service.
- Work home games, performing various ticket sales and service duties throughout the game.
- Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals established by the Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Service.
- Ticket Sales Retention (20%)
- Maintain a constant working relationship with the staff of the Green Wave Club.
- Serve as the retention specialist by building strong relationships with current season ticket and group ticket accounts in all ticketed sports via phone, in-person appointments, and networking events to secure future renewals and group sales.
- Achieve annual goals within retaining season ticket holder accounts and groups.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain customer relationship skills.
- Development (20%)
- Work closely with the Green Wave Club to assist with donor relations and fund development.
- Manage a small portfolio of annual fund donors and assist with renewals.
- Other Duties (5%)

- NCAA Compliance
- Ensure all Department of Athletics and University-related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Attend and participate in scheduled compliance seminars and comply with all Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations.
- Seek interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary.
- Report potential rules violations immediately.
- Complete required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor all areas and/or program activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of sales experience (includes experience with a computerized ticket system), or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 years of sales experience (includes experience with a computerized ticket system).
- Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Division I Intercollegiate Athletics.
- Completion of ticket sales training courses.
