Assistant Department Manager (Tile)
About the role
This position trains and develops Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers receive excellent customer service and product information.
Responsibilities
- Act and work in a manner consistent with company's core values
- Demonstrate safe lifting practices and understand company's retail philosophy
- Provide direction and complete certification courses for Product Sales Specialists
- Ensure accurate customer service and merchandise presentation
- Communicate and validate inventory needs, product placement, and pricing
- Complete industrial truck proficiency testing and certification
- Communicate with management about inventory needs
- Process customer transactions and assist with refunds/exchanges
- Present 'how-to' classes to customers
- Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures
- Stock and tag merchandise displays
- Greet and assist customers
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding and compliance with safe lifting practices and company policies
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Knowledge of merchandise and installation processes
- Proficiency in operating point of sale (POS) systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and colleagues

Pay

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pickup Hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
