Assistant Dean

Job Description

The Assistant Dean assists with leading the nursing program at the campus level, ensuring delivery of high-quality education aligned with institutional goals and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for faculty and staff management, student outcomes, and program compliance. Partnering with academic and administrative stakeholders, the Assistant Dean assist in driving program effectiveness, supports student success, and advances continuous improvement across curriculum, operations, and clinical partnerships.

Qualifications

• Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• - Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Nursing, Education Administration, or a related field.
• - Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an academic administrative role and 2 years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs.
• - Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse or equivalent experience as defined by the Board.
• - Demonstrated experience in supervision, workforce planning, and budget management.
• - Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
• - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders and institutions.
• - Demonstrated ability to lead through collaboration, influence, and consensus-building.
• - Proficiency with computer-based systems and tools to support academic and operational functions.
