Assistant Data Center Manager - ATL2
Key Accountabilities
- Oversight of the maintenance and operation of data center facilities
- Leadership, management, and development ensuring operational commitments are met and exceeded
- Supporting SFCFS teams and other stakeholders in the delivery of all services within the scope of the role, and providing technical service input as required
- Ensuring safety of all SFCFS personnel and equipment onsite
- Ownership of MEP operations across Serverfarm Data Center
- Ensuring all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations
- Working with the Construction & Project team to ensure Serverfarm Data Center’s site meets all required statutory and mandatory requirements
- Ensuring all site MEP infrastructure operates within defined capacity standards
- Ensuring all activities on site are carried out in accordance with Serverfarm Company Policies and Guidelines
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Experience in maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to clearly defined criteria
- An understanding of the Data Center environment, and the working restrictions applicable to such environments
- Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure, with changing, and often conflicting, priorities to meet deadlines
Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
