Primary Responsibilities
- Aid in managing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including performance management
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
- Cook up and coordinate with internal and external audits
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
- Assist with regulatory reporting and tax compliance as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Public accounting experience
- Experience in industry-specific environment
- CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
Pay
- Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $150,000 to $170,000
