Assistant Controller
Job Summary
The “Controller Assistant” role at Flex is based in Manchester, Connecticut, and reports to the Director of Finance. This position involves preparing financial statements, conducting investigations, and supporting budget and forecast processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports.
- Participate in a variety of special projects and compile special reports.
- Conduct ad hoc financial investigations for local management.
- Prepare receivables reports as required.
- Work closely with operations and commercial teams to understand the business and its impact on the site’s financial position.
- Prepare weekly and monthly-end reports for the business team.
- Prepare financial reports for regulators and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
- Aid in managing the Accounting and Costing departments.
- Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A background in manufacturing/cost accounting is preferred.
- Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills.
- Demonstrates advanced/through knowledge of the function and Flex’s business.
- Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries, or functions and comprehension of their interrelations.
