About the role

This on-site position (5 days per week) supports the construction of new homes in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Assistant Construction Manager is responsible for inspecting jobs in process and at completion to ensure workmanship and safety standards are maintained, and that all homes meet safety, quality, and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect jobs in process and at completion
  • Schedule and oversee subcontractors and laborers
  • Obtain all permits and order required building materials
  • Schedule required building inspections
  • Conduct pre-settlement inspections
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of residential construction
  • Thorough knowledge of all trades
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Qualifications

  • Able to manage projects involving development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing necessary resources and skills within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality
  • Ability to plan and prioritize while focusing on detail orientation and effective time management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with clear organization of ideas
  • Experience managing individuals and groups
  • Ability to optimize performance of people, including determining capabilities, integrating into teams, allocating tasks, providing direction, support, guidance, motivation, and managing performance
  • Provides effective feedback throughout the performance management cycle to ensure optimum performance
  • Participates in formal processes such as compensation negotiations and disciplinary procedures

  • Knowledge of BuildPro
