About the role
The Assistant Community Manager (ACM) will support the day-to-day operation and management of a community property in Harbor City, CA, reporting to the Community Manager and Regional Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, preparing and distributing notices, and setting up for meetings.
- Assist in maintaining tenant files, service requests, purchase orders, and incident reports.
- Assist in obtaining and processing rental applications, handling rent collections and deposits, processing move-ins and move-outs, and conducting annual re-certifications.
- Assist in scheduling work performed by vendors and maintenance staff, conducting property inspections, logging and filing maintenance work orders, and ordering supplies.
- Maintain positive tenant relations and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Maintain strong communication with property manager and maintenance staff.
- Complete special projects as designated by the Regional Supervisor or designee.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of property management experience, preferably with tax credit (TCAC) properties and recertification process; OR two (2) years of general office/administrative assistant or customer service experience.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English and draft clear reports and correspondence.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to communicate with residents and co-workers from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office required.
Pay
This full-time, non-exempt position offers an hourly salary range of $19.00 - $23.00, with placement based on experience.
