Assistant Community Manager

The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for overseeing, under the supervision of the Community Manager, the everyday operations and financial functions of the housing community.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Community Manager will play a vital role in the delinquency and collection of rent to optimize the property's cash flow and financial position. As an Assistant Community Manager, you will manage all phases of the operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management in the absence of the Community Manager.
- Financial Management: posting all payments and income received, processing and reconciling daily all account receivables, monitoring and following up on bad debt, and helping the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
- Personnel Management: regular/daily onsite attendance, screening, hiring, training, coaching, and developing onsite staff, ensuring the effectiveness of staff through ongoing training, coaching, counseling, and guidance.
- Strategic Leasing Management: ensuring staff leasing techniques are effective, implementing marketing strategies, dealing with resident complaints, concerns, and requests, and developing and implementing resident retention programs.
- Administrative Management: managing excellent customer service, monitoring service request turnaround and responsiveness of maintenance staff, maintaining property appearance, and planning for and utilizing property resources economically.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required. Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, communicate with others to exchange information, repeat motions that may include wrists, hands, and/or fingers, assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. The employee is frequently required to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another.
Pay
Salary Range: $21 per hour to $23 per hour. Our employment offer is accompanied by additional compensation associated with our comprehensive total rewards package, which includes benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance), 401K with employer matching, and commission and performance bonuses, when applicable. Full-time employees also receive paid sick days and company holidays.
