Assistant Community Manager
About the role
The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for overseeing, under the supervision of the Community Manager, the everyday operations and financial functions of the housing community. As the Assistant Community Manager, you will play a vital role in the delinquency and collection of rent to optimize the property's cash flow and financial position.
Responsibilities
Essential duties include financial management, personnel management, strategic leasing management, and administrative management.
- Financial Management: posting payments, processing and reconciling account receivables, monitoring bad debt, and preparing late notices and evictions.
- Personnel Management: screening, hiring, training, coaching, and developing onsite staff, ensuring staff compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Strategic Leasing Management: implementing marketing strategies, dealing with resident complaints, and developing resident retention programs.
- Administrative Management: managing customer service, monitoring service request turnaround, and maintaining property appearance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
- Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
The employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, communicate with others to exchange information, and repeat motions that may include wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The employee is frequently required to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another.

Pay
Salary Range: $18 per hour to $21 per hour
