Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball Part Time

About the Role

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is looking for an Assistant Basketball Coach, part-time. You will report to the Head Basketball Coach and be based on the main campus in Manchester, NH.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning, organizing, and execution of preseason and season practices.
• Help monitor conditioning programs.
• Provide input on the evaluation of athlete's performance and progress.
• Evaluate opponents' performance and scouting.
• Ensure the peak performance of athletes during games.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes.
• Help recruit prospective student-athletes.
• Assist with gameday logistics planning and support.
• Participate in planning for events including fundraising or other special functions.
• Drive University vans to and from practice, games, playoffs, and coaches meetings.
• Attend NE-10 conference meetings, all-star balloting or voting meetings, and all SNHU Athletic Department meetings.
• Adhere to the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Southern New Hampshire University, working with the Head Coach in all facets of the program.
• Develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; pass the NCAA Certification exam if recruiting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 1+ years of playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Knowledge, observance, and commitment to all rules and regulations of the College, NE-10, ECAC, and NCAA.
• Experience recruiting, evaluating, and leading skills sessions for player development.
• Prior experience with Synergy and Hudl.
• Valid driver's license and eligibility for University insurance coverage with an acceptable driving record.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $14.43 - $23.10. The target hiring range is $15.95 - $21.58, with the actual offer based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
