Part Time Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball
About the Role
Assists Head Coach in managing and executing administrative and athletic functions of coaching a collegiate team. Establishes and maintains team rules and expectations. Coaches, trains, and develops individual players and their skills. Recruits prospective student-athletes, coordinates visits, and plans travel itineraries for the team.
Responsibilities
- Assists Head Coach with practice and match planning.
- Develops training sessions for Denison athletes and provides athletes with feedback and direction.
- Develops strategy for future opponents and analyzes film to create scouting reports.
- Attends practice and works with individual student-athletes.
- Travels to tournaments.
- Reinforces team and University rules and expectations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- CPR/AED certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree.
- 1-3 years of experience playing, coaching, and/or recruiting.
