About the role
The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) at Del Amo Behavioral Health System plays a crucial role in developing department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies, and procedures. They also organize the department in line with administrative guidelines and function in an advisory capacity to administration regarding proposed procedural changes.
Responsibilities
- Develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies, and procedures.
- Organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines.
- Functions in an advisory capacity to administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care.
- Directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice and regulatory compliance that promotes optimum health care delivery.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of CA.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Masters level or incumbent to Master's prepared required.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric setting required; Minimum 2 years in nursing management role required.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in behavioral health setting preferred.
