Assistant Clinical Manager - (RN) Emergency Room (Full Time, Nights 10hrs)

Duties

• Oversee patient care delivery and workflow in the Emergency Department’s operations and environment.
• Directly supervises RN’s, Clinical Associates, department Technicians, Unit Assistants, and Support Staff in all aspects, including hiring/firing, performance evaluation and management, mentoring, scheduling, and addressing employee relations.
• Completing daily or shift specific quality audits and visibility boards.
• Facilitating daily huddles with staff.
• Leading staff/quality meetings.
• Delivering quality patient-centered care in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Rounding with patients and families.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience.
• At least (1) year of clinical experience in the area they are applying.
• One (1) year of Charge nurse experience with demonstrated leadership skills preferred and/or equivalent experience.
• Four (4) years of experience in clinical specialty.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree in healthcare-related field preferred.

• Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate.
• Able to lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).

Experience

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in California.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) - required within 3 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Registered Nurse – CA.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Advanced Trauma Course Nursing (ATCN) may also be accepted in lieu of TNCC.
• Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) within 1 year of hire.

Education

• Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree in healthcare-related field preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: Minimum $133,827 Midpoint $177,320 Maximum $220,792

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
