About the Role

Chroma Early Learning Academy of Marietta seeks enthusiastic teachers who want to make a difference and put their talents to use. Candidates are required to work together with their co-teachers on completing daily activities for the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
  • Observe all rules and regulations at Chroma Early Learning Academy and the local, state, and national agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
  • Support each child's social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
  • Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
  • Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming
  • Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence
  • Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
  • Accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds
  • Attend all staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions
  • Maintain overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook
  • Implement curriculum, change diapers, feed, clean, and sanitize

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must clear a full Background check
  • High energy
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
  • A strong understanding of child development
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
