Summary

Calling all who love singing, dancing, storytelling and nurturing young, energetic children! Chroma Early Learning Academy seeks enthusiastic teachers who want to make a difference and put their talents to use.

Duties

  • Supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
  • Observes all rules and regulations at Chroma Early Learning Academy and the local, state, and national agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
  • Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
  • Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
  • Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming
  • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
  • Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
  • Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds
  • Attends all staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions
  • Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
  • Work together with co-teachers on completing daily activities for the classroom which include but are not limited to implementing curriculum, changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, and sanitizing

Requirements

  • Satisfactory Background Check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum Education: High School or Equivalent
