Duties

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to explore and learn
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the children
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and active listening
  • Providing individualized support to children with diverse needs, and working collaboratively with the team to create an inclusive environment
  • Staying up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in early childhood education
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that promotes children's learning and development
  • Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills
  • Representing the school positively and professionally in interactions with parents, visitors, and the community
  • Contributing to the overall success of the school by being a team player, and participating in school events and activities

Requirements

  • High energy and enthusiasm for working with young children
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
  • Able to work well with others and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of child development and its application in the classroom
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must clear a full Background check
  • High School or Equivalent (minimum education)
