About the role
The Assistant Branch Manager participates in a comprehensive retail training program while working toward individual sales targets. In collaboration with the Branch Manager, this role helps cultivate a motivated sales and service team, ensuring that each member contributes to the branch’s success through a consultative sales methodology.
Responsibilities
- Develops team members through one-on-one coaching sessions and performance accountability.
- Fosters customer relationships through proactive initiatives, such as participating in community events and business networking opportunities.
- Assumes a leadership role while motivating and holding team members accountable, assisting the Branch Manager in evaluating team member performance.
- Assists the team in all areas of branch operations including branch audits, security, and scheduling.
- Makes sound, balanced decisions prioritizing risk management, profitability, and customer satisfaction in each transaction.
- Ensures accuracy in arithmetic skills and computer literacy for accessing account information and processing transactions.
- Develops a thorough knowledge of Bank products and guidelines by attending required classes.
- Maintains a professional appearance and conducts oneself in a professional manner at all times.
- Serves as a risk manager for their business by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring the risks they encounter daily as required by Dollar Bank's risk management program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with one year demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals, or High School Diploma/GED with five years demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals.
- Retail Banking experience preferred.
- One year of managerial or supervisory experience is required.
- Ability to travel as needed for training.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with one year demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals is required. Will consider High School Diploma/GED with five years demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals. Retail Banking experience preferred.
