About the role
We're looking for an Assistant Branch Manager at our Salem Wal-Mart location. This role involves managing employees and resources within Credit Union policies and procedures. Responsibilities
- Support the branch manager in supervising the operation of a branch office exercising good principles of organization, prioritization, and personnel management.
- Aids in staff selection, training, and development in conjunction with the branch manager; coach, counsel, and discipline employees; recommend for promotion or termination.
- Aids the branch manager in maintaining overall exterior and interior branch presentation in accordance with Service CU guidelines and merchandising plans.
- Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance.
- Has a thorough working knowledge of all Service CU policies, procedures, applications, and systems.
- Works with the branch manager to meet current fiscal year corporate and branch production goals, including loan production, new members, new checking accounts, credit card, and credit life and disability.
- Maintains the office at the highest level of efficiency possible.
- Sets an example for the branch staff in professionalism, ethics, and office etiquette.
- Works with branch staff to meet and be accountable to established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Adheres to compliance requirements to include but not limited to physical security, information security, safety, BSA/USA Patriot Act regulations, OFAC, MI, SAR, CTR, and Fraud/Identity Theft (ID Safe).
- Supports the branch manager and staff to meet assigned goals for new member development and cross-selling of Service CU products.
Qualifications
- Superior working knowledge of all credit union policies and procedures, branch office functions, and duties of all subordinate personnel.
- Thorough knowledge of current computer operating systems.
- High degree of skill in leadership techniques and member service duties.
- Works independently and is able to perform position duties with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work well with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
- Aptitude for detailed work and problem-solving adeptness.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Minimum of one-year financial experience required.
- Spanish language skills are preferred.
