ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER OPS

Assists the Branch Manager and provides guidance and leadership to the branch team. Ensures a smooth and effective experience for all aspects of branch operations including sales, customer service, pickup, and delivery. Helps build branch sales by growing and maintaining house accounts through active dealer communication of new product launches, sales, and discounts via outbound calls and in-house counter discussions. Partners with regional Territory Sales Managers, ASMs, and other stakeholders to drive territory coverage and maintain positive dealer relationships. Works with the Branch Manager to ensure the branch meets new business plans and follows processes for sales, warranties, shipping, and housekeeping best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Branch Manager in leadership duties for all branch employees, including team management and supervision.
  • Face-to-face interaction with customers, completing transactions using Mincron.
  • Backup Branch Manager duties, including employee relations, timekeeping, inventory control, asset protection, and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure the warehouse and showroom are fully stocked, clean, and presentable at all times.
  • Delegate sales and operations duties to ensure effective workflow and accountability for branch goals and work performance.
  • Provide feedback on performance as required.
  • Foster a culture of quality customer service through teamwork, efficiency, cross-training, and continuous improvement.
  • Motivate the team and lead by example to provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist Branch Manager in proactively filling open positions, reviewing resumes, and interviewing potential candidates.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees, including leading onboarding and training for new hires.
  • Participate in and/or lead improvement efforts and projects as assigned.
  • Capture and compile data relating to branch operations and participate in projects as assigned.
  • Receive and process orders from customers and representatives for shipment from designated manufacturing plants.
  • Develop and execute efficient fleet management.
  • Ensure branch safety guidelines are always adhered to.
  • Manage documented Work Instructions and Policy and Procedures provided by the organization.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide new and current customers with product information, including pricing, delivery, inventory, and backorder availability.
  • Work with the Branch Manager to ensure standard operating procedures are followed and maintain high standards for quality, service, and integrity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; college degree strongly preferred.
  • Must have successfully completed the AMP program.
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and policy enforcement.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Conflict resolution and productive relationship management experience.
  • Experience with training methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Fundamental finance and accounting skills as they pertain to branch operations.
  • Ability to safely operate all machinery within the branch, including forklifts.
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations, including lifting, standing, walking, working at a desk, and customer service counter duties.

Pay

$27.11 - $36.00 per hour.
