Assistant Branch Manager - Oakleigh - VIC

Duties

• Managing day to day operations of the Branch, so the Branch Manager can focus on active business growth
• Coaching the team to provide customers with exceptional service that grows profitable relationships
• Building strong team morale so that everyone works together with a proactive customer mindset
• Overseeing Branch operations procedures to ensure the right disciplines and structures are in place to drive consistency, cost effectiveness and practical outcomes
• Working with the team to implement continuous improvements and efficiencies
• Examples: counter service, quoting and customer orders, inventory management, credit management, branch presentation, delivery service, problem solving, product knowledge
• Running and analysing daily reports and working with the team to action and follow-up tasks
• Supporting the Branch Manager with staff training and development
• Ensuring company compliance standards are followed

Required Skills And Attributes

• Ability to build long term relationships with customers
• Prior experience in a role with high volume regular loyal customer contact
• Successful and proven leadership skills
• Ability to coach and influence other team members in day-to-day operations
• Ability to introduce and implement policies and procedures, to ensure high customer service standards are met
• Ability to finish tasks, working with the team to get the 1%ers done
• Ability to make sound business decisions and resolve problems
