About the role
Richwood Bank is looking for a leader to assist in managing a team of front-line customer specialists. This full-time position requires a positive attitude and the ability to ensure smooth operations. Prior experience in managing a team is preferred, but individuals with demonstrated personal drive and a can-do attitude will be considered. Previous banking experience is a plus, but we are willing to train candidates who align with our values.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Branch Manager in managing, motivating, and coaching front-line staff.
- Perform Branch Manager duties in their absence, including managing staff, tracking schedules, and supervising daily banking activities.
- Communicate corporate information and expectations clearly to staff.
- Delegate tasks as needed and greet customers.
- Facilitate all customer transactions across financial accounts and requests.
- Open accounts and educate customers on maximizing their benefits.
- Assist new customers in transferring funds seamlessly through our switch program.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances daily.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all bank accounts, products, and services.
- Support customers with account and service needs, including notary, faxing, and check orders.
- Stay current on rates for CDs, savings, IRAs, and interest-bearing checking accounts.
- Listen to customer needs and recommend solutions to help them succeed.
- Assist with office support tasks such as inventory and event preparations.
- Scan and verify daily transactions for accuracy and reliability.
- Operate drive-thru systems, including speakers and transaction drawers/tubes.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, and others.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (College preferred).
- Leadership ability and experience motivating others.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and make on-the-spot decisions.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of bank products and services (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with federal banking regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, ADA, Regulation E).
- Punctuality, drive to succeed, and openness to learning new technology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a positive attitude.
