Assistant Branch Manager

About the role

Murphy's Roofing Supply is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager at their Elmwood, LA location. This position is ideal for a motivated, customer-focused leader with a passion for building materials.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the showroom, sales counters, and incoming calls
• Assist the team and ensure a topnotch customer experience
• Provide coaching, guidance, and support to the team
• Foster a productive and engaging work environment
• Oversee office and showroom supplies
• Manage daily scheduling
• Keep the office, yard, and warehouse organized and safe
• Ensure inventory levels are optimal and equipment is maintained
• Monitor branch-level finances
• Manage daily pricing, sales reports, purchase orders, and collections
• Collaborate with internal teams
• Address customer/vendor issues
• Set an example in professionalism
• Support other area branches when needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in retail and management
• Knowledge of inventory control, supply chain processes, and financial principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Valid driver’s license and forklift operator certification
