This position supports the Branch Manager in driving daily operations, team performance, and business development initiatives to ensure branch success while fulfilling the mission of providing customer care, quality service, and community support.
Responsibilities
- Leads, coaches, and supports frontline staff to achieve service excellence and sales objectives.
- Oversees operational integrity and ensures adherence to compliance standards.
- Manages employee scheduling, training, and performance feedback.
- Resolves complex customer inquiries and handles escalations with professionalism.
- Assists in community engagement and initiatives that promote business growth.
- Operates personal computer and transaction scanner to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority.
- Reports malfunctions of equipment as directed.
- Answers telephones and directs callers to proper Bank personnel.
- Gathers data and processes various reports.
- May assist in opening and closing the vault daily; may assist in balancing vault currency and coin.
- May type routine letters, reports, and forms.
- Maintains files, copies, scans and faxes documents, and orders and distributes supplies.

Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Work-related experience should consist of a cash handling and/or customer service background.
- Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school, or financial industry-related curriculum, should be business or financial industry-related.
- Caring, professional, and responsive demeanor.
- Friendly and people-oriented; enjoys interacting with others face-to-face.
- Successfully and satisfactorily performs Relationship Banker Lead duties.
- Ability to effectively assume Branch Manager responsibilities in their absence.
- Intermediate skills in computer operation, including Microsoft Suite.
- Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
- Basic math skills: calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; count currency, coin, and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
- Ability to deal with routine problems involving multiple facets and variables in standardized situations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
