Position Summary
The Assistant Branch Manager provides on-site leadership, motivation, and direction for the service center staff, aligning them with Everwise Credit Union's performance measures and member service expectations. They also direct daily service center operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, operations controls, and risk management.
Primary Responsibilities And Duties
- Assists and supports the Branch Manager in maintaining appropriate staffing levels, team member supervision, and on-going team member development through consistent training, coaching, and development activities.
- Assists and supports the Branch Manager in maintaining quality and professionalism of staff during their daily interactions with the membership.
- Accepts primary responsibility for ensuring all branches procedures, processes, audits, and documents are in accordance with established Everwise Credit Union guidelines and regulations.
- Supports and assists the Branch Manager in growing and performing the service center that aligns with Everwise Credit Union's strategic direction as measured by performance measures and goals, while utilizing and embracing Everwise Credit Union directed tools and resources.
- Assists and facilitates team meetings which discuss product knowledge, sales skills, operational procedures, etc.
- Enhances awareness of Everwise Credit Union in the communities of which it is a part through involvement in Everwise Credit Union approved civic and community activities.
- Assumes additional responsibilities necessary for the growth of the service center, growth of the service center staff, and as assigned.
- Affords additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union.
Knowledge/Skills
- Excellent human relations skills including verbal and written communication skills.
- Clear understanding of Everwise Credit Union philosophy, vision, and strategic objectives; as well as the ability to communicate it to others.
- Strong coaching, development, and leadership skills and have a basic understanding of Human Resource practices.
- Strong background/understanding of service center operations, procedures, and security policies.
- Positive leader of change and fosters open communication.
- Self-driven.
- Able to meet and exceed goals.
- Able to organize and prioritize daily tasks.
- General understanding of related computer applications.
Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- 2-3 years of financial services industry experience or 3-5 years supervisory experience in a retail environment.
