Assistant Branch Manager

About the role

You will lead the inventory controls and warehouse teams at the branch. You will have the opportunity to develop and mentor others, ensuring everyone is valued and contributing to the success of the branch.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide the team to ensure efficient and economical accomplishment of Dexter’s mission and goals.
• Prepare schedules and set deadlines to ensure products are ready and available when customers need them.
• Report to the Branch Manager and act as acting Branch Manager when they are out.
• Be a servant leader who others want to follow, prioritizing the best for the team and championing its success.
• Be safety-focused, adhering to safety protocols to keep everyone safe.
• Grow the branch in capabilities, customer base, and sales.
• Be customer service-focused, understanding customers' perspectives, and training the team to excel in customer interactions.
• Be team-focused, providing necessary tools for success and having honest but compassionate conversations for individual development.
• Be business-savvy, managing day-to-day operations including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and supporting sales and recruitment.
• Be a great multitasker and highly organized, able to handle daily challenges effectively.
• Be comfortable with computers and systems, proficient in handling customer inquiries, credits, PO transfers, and inventory management.

Requirements

You will need an associate degree with at least 4 years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
