Assistant Branch Manager
About the role
You will lead the inventory controls and warehouse teams at the branch. You will develop and mentor others, ensuring everyone is valued and contributing to the success of the branch. You will coordinate and guide the team to achieve Dexter’s mission and goals efficiently and economically.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Branch Manager and act as Acting Branch Manager when they are out.
- Develop and mentor team members to foster a culture of safety, growth, and customer service.
- Prepare schedules and set deadlines to ensure products are ready and available when needed.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a customer-focused approach.
- Train the team to be best-in-class with customers and support sales and recruitment efforts.
- Manage inventory, shipping, and receiving, and support day-to-day business operations.
- Use organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and challenges effectively.
- Be comfortable with computers and systems, including customer inquiries, credits, PO transfers, and inventory management.
Requirements
- An associate degree with at least 4 years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
