About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality service to current and potential Credit Union members by serving as a liaison between the member and the credit union. You will provide information on membership eligibility, account types, loan products, and other services the Credit Union offers. Additionally, you will supervise branch staff, assist with decision-making, research balancing discrepancies, complete end-of-month reports, and evaluate tellers’ performance. This role also involves coaching, training, and assisting staff with complex transactions and inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach branch staff to achieve individual and team goals, providing ongoing feedback and training to enhance performance and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment.
  • Drive branch sales goals by developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and relationships within the community.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets.
  • Ensure all members receive exceptional service and support for their financial needs.
  • Address and resolve member concerns, account inquiries, and issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Assist members with account management, including account openings, maintenance, and general inquiries.
  • Promote a member-centric culture within the branch.
  • Support members with loan applications, processing, and follow-up.
  • Assist in managing branch operations, including compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
  • Oversee cash handling, transaction processing, and other operational tasks.
  • Ensure branch security and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager and other team members to achieve branch objectives.
  • Participate in branch meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other branches and departments to enhance overall credit union performance.

Requirements

  • Education equivalent to a four-year high school education.
  • 2 – 4 years of teller, member service, loan, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of general credit union operational procedures, including cash handling, teller job-related duties, and loan processes and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previously held supervisor or leadership roles.
