Responsibilities
- Enter and code accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Afford assistance with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and filing systems
- Support processing of invoices, payments, and deposits
- Help prepare basic financial reports under supervision
- Afford assistance with payroll data entry and timesheet tracking
- Respond to routine vendor and client billing inquiries
- Maintain the general ledger by posting approved journal entries
- Afford support month-end close tasks alongside senior bookkeeping staff
- Perform other administrative and clerical accounting duties as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members

Pay
The salary range for this role is $58,000 - $82,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation and benefits details will be shared during the hiring process.
