About the role
We're seeking an Assistant Banquet Chef to join our culinary team at one of the shoreline's premier luxury resorts. You will be responsible for leading banquet operations, ensuring high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Executive Banquet Chef to execute flawless events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions.
- Lead and inspire banquet cooks and culinary team members, fostering a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture.
- Ensure every plate leaving the kitchen reflects the quality and presentation expected of a luxury resort.
- Assist with menu preparation, production planning, scheduling, and event execution.
- Maintain exceptional food safety, sanitation, and organization standards.
- Manage inventory, minimize waste, and help control food costs.
- Collaborate with the banquet, restaurant, and events teams to create memorable guest experiences.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Assistant Banquet Chef, or strong line chef ready to advance.
- Experience producing high-volume banquet or catering events.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Calm under pressure with outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
- Passion for culinary excellence and attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Culinary degree is a plus, but proven experience and talent are equally valued.
