About the role
The Aviation Security Director will oversee all security operations at our facilities, ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations and enhancing overall security measures. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of aviation security protocols, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily security operations including screening personnel, vehicles, and cargo entering our facilities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive security plans that meet regulatory requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage a team of security officers, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into broader organizational strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting aviation security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as aviation, security studies, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in aviation security management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams and implementing security protocols.
- Knowledge of federal aviation regulations and airport security standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
