About the Role

This person will work under the direction of the head coach for the specific athletic program that they are working with.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the head coach to develop and implement coaching strategies and practices.
  • Provide support and guidance to athletes, helping them improve their skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations related to the sport.
  • Collaborate with other coaches, administrators, and staff to enhance the overall athletic program.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in physical education, coaching, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of coaching experience at the high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the specific athletic program and its rules.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with sports administration and management.
  • Knowledge of NCAA or other governing body rules and regulations.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Passion for supporting student athletes' development and success.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using technology for coaching and administrative purposes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
