SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- SOFTBALL (ASSISTANT COACH)

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing athletic teams at Northeast High School in Oakland Park.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team practices and games, ensuring adherence to rules and regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to athletes, including motivational and instructional coaching.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to maintain a positive and competitive environment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Head Coach: Standard high school diploma or GED. Must hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate.
• Assistant Coach: Standard high school diploma or GED. Knowledge of the activity and ability to impart this knowledge.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Head Coach: Additional certifications or experience in coaching sports.
• Assistant Coach: Previous coaching experience or relevant work experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Positions require regular attendance at practices and games, which may involve standing, walking, and lifting equipment.

CERTIFICATIONS
