SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- SOFTBALL (HEAD COACH)

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing athletic programs at Northeast High School in Oakland Park.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Provide guidance and instruction to athletes on proper techniques and strategies.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure program success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift and move equipment and supplies, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Temporary/Subs classification.
• No relocation assistance provided.
• Compensation details available upon request.

SKILLS

Effective communication, teamwork, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (for the Head Coach).
