Assistant Athletic Director, Sports Performance

Responsibilities

  • Direct strength and conditioning for assigned intercollegiate sport programs
  • Develop and implement evidence-based, sport-specific training programs
  • Instruct student-athletes in Olympic lifts and strength exercises
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to enhance athlete performance and reduce injuries
  • Implement performance testing with objective measurement criteria
  • Supervise and manage an internship program for aspiring strength coaches
  • Coordinate technology use for data-driven training decisions

Qualifications

  • CSCS or CSCCa certification required
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification required
  • USA Olympic Weightlifting Certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 6-8 years of collegiate strength and conditioning experience required
  • Experience with Division I athletics programs preferred
  • Familiarity with GPS monitoring technology or load monitoring software preferred
