Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor Acute Care Surgeon

About the role

The Department of Surgery at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking one surgeon for the Acute Care Surgery Division. Successful candidates will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway, commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments. Administrative or leadership positions may be available depending on interest and suitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in all aspects of Acute Care Surgery, including trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care.
• Pursue research, teaching, and/or administrative activities within an academic division of Acute Care Surgery.

Requirements

• Board certification in General Surgery or board certification or eligibility in Surgical Critical Care.
• Eligibility for licensure in the State of Vermont and eligibility to work in the United States.

This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges at the University of Vermont Health Network.
