About the role
The Department of Psychology seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology to join our collegial and collaborative department in Fall 2026.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and advising.
- Contribute to active scholarship in your field.
- Engage in service to the university and the broader community.
- Integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.
- Teach electives in your area of expertise.
- Contribute to the department’s foundational offerings.
Requirements
- Hold a PhD (or PsyD) in psychology by the position start date.
- Record of successful teaching, service, and scholarly activity appropriate to the rank of Assistant Professor.
- Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for advising and mentoring undergraduates with varied career interests.
- Collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills, able to work well within the Department of Psychology and our larger School of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
Qualifications
- PhD (or PsyD) in psychology.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- A record of publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, and a research agenda that values student involvement and mentoring.
- Experience in creating successful and interactive online courses in platforms such as Canvas.
- Expertise incorporating service-learning experiences into course curricula.
Position Details
- The position is a full-time position, with a starting date of August 2026.
- The teaching load is four courses per semester, with an option for additional summer courses as well as developing and delivering courses in an online format.
