Essential Responsibilities
- Teach 21 credit hours per academic year (undergraduate and graduate courses)
- Provide comprehensive academic advising
- Actively participate in University, School, and Department committees
- Actively participate in the accreditation process
- Actively participate in program assessment, curriculum development, and grant writing
- Actively develop scholarship (e.g., publications, conference presentations)
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Possess high integrity and ethical standards
- Create and facilitate a meaningful learning environment
- Show willingness to teach a variety of psychology and counseling psychology courses in a diverse educational setting
- Have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Be proficient in using computer software applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, & SPSS) and learning management systems (Canvas) and the internet
- Have advanced project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources
- Meet deadlines
- Interpret data and prepare reports
- Have knowledge and experience in using common office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers
Physical Requirements
- Light work in an office and community setting
- Requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds
- Must have finger dexterity
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand
